Maya Fern

My name is Maya Fern, and I am a queer woman and clinical somatic hypnotherapist based in Eugene, Oregon. I embarked on my professional journey after graduating from the Hypnotherapy Academy of America in 2015, and I am also a proud Fellow of the International Board of Hypnotherapy. I have also received training as a Psychedelic Facilitator through the SoundMind Psychedelic Facilitator Training Program in 2022.

My practice is deeply informed by my own transformative experiences with hypnotherapy and psychedelics, which have profoundly shaped my approach to wellness and empowerment, especially within marginalized communities. These personal insights fuel my dedication to utilizing somatic hypnotherapy and psychedelic work not only as a tool for individual healing but as a strategic means of addressing and dismantling systemic barriers within the culture and society we live in.

At the core of my ethos is a commitment to empathy, inclusivity, and intentionality. These values guide my practice as I work with the subconscious mind to help open up a genuine state of health and happiness for my clients. Through hypnotherapy, I facilitate a deep exploration of self that supports not just momentary wellbeing but sustained life goals and ambitions.

Another passion of mine is recognizing the interplay between queer + trans identity and psychedelic therapies, striving to create safe and inclusive spaces that foster the queer and trans psychedelic experience. My work spans writing, speaking, workshops, and direct therapy, all aimed at amplifying the voices of individuals often overshadowed by tokenism and marginalization.

My approach is about meaningful engagement rather than performative allyship, ensuring that every interaction honors the individual and their journey. As we navigate the subconscious, we not only change our minds but also our realities, each day, every day, towards better health and deeper self-understanding, hoping to unlock our deep-seeded magic within.
