When your nervous system is fried, every part of life starts to feel heavier.
You know all the things you “should” be doing to take care of yourself, but you’re exhausted, overwhelmed, or numb. Talking about what’s happening helps a little, but something deeper still feels tangled in your body.
Somatic hypnotherapy offers a different way in.
I offer somatic, body-based hypnotherapy in Eugene, Oregon and online for people who are burned out, anxious, tender, and stuck ~ especially for folks who are craving a slower, kinder way to be with themselves.
“You don’t have to keep muscling through.
We start by listening to your body’s pace, and move forward from there.”
You might be a good fit for this work if:
You feel burned out or emotionally thin, like you’re running on fumes.
Your body often feels stuck in anxiety, freeze, or shutdown, and it’s hard to come back to center.
You’re a human who cares deeply about the world, yet have been struggling to find a sense of inner balance and self-regulation.
You’re LGBTQ+, and you want support that doesn’t pathologize your identity or ignore the realities you’re living in.
You’re neurodivergent (ADHD, autism, sensitive nervous system) and traditional “just relax” advice makes you more tense, not less.
You’ve done talk therapy, read the books, maybe even worked with psychedelics, but there’s still a sense of something lodged in your body that wants attention.
If you’re reading this and thinking, “Yes, that’s me, but I’m also scared it won’t work,” you’re not alone. We make plenty of room for that, too.
Somatic hypnotherapy is a way of working that brings together:
Hypnosis – guided, focused states of awareness where your attention turns inward and your body can soften its grip on “survival mode.”
Somatic work – gently tracking sensations, breath, and impulses in the body, instead of staying only in thoughts and stories.
Nervous system awareness – understanding how your system moves between fight, flight, freeze, and more regulated states, and learning how to support it instead of override it.
During a session, you are awake, aware, and in collaborative relationship with me the whole time. You can always come out of the state, ask questions, or say no to something that doesn’t feel right. My role is to guide and support; your system leads us.
In session, we might:
Create an inner “sanctuary” or safe place that you can return to.
Follow a sensation or emotion in your body and let it slowly shift or unwind.
Meet younger parts of you who are still holding fear, shame, or over-responsibility.
Practice what rest, grounding, or boundaries feel like in your actual body.
This work can go surprisingly deep.
Session length: about 60 minutes
Location:
In-person in a quiet, cozy office in Eugene, Oregon
Online via secure video for clients who prefer to work from home
A typical session might look like:
Arrival & Check-In
We’ll start with a brief conversation about what’s present for you that day ~ stressors, body sensations, themes you’ve been noticing, or a specific situation you want support with.
Somatic Settling
We’ll use gentle grounding ~ breath, orientation to the room, feeling your weight on the chair or couch to help your nervous system find a little more safety.
Guided Hypnosis / Inner Journey
I’ll guide you into a focused, relaxed state. From there, we might work with imagery (forest, river, inner sanctuary), body sensations or memories, always at your pace and with your consent. You’re not “out of it,” or “in a trance,” you’re noticing your inner world.
Integration & Closing
Before we end, we’ll check in with what shifted, what your body is asking for next, and what might support you between sessions. You’ll have time to orient back to the room and your day.
Online sessions follow the same flow. You’ll just want:
A private space where you can sit or lie down comfortably
Headphones if possible
A blanket, pillow, or anything that helps you feel safe, grounded, and held.
While anyone is welcome to reach out, this work tends to resonate most with:
People in burnout, compassion fatigue, or long-term overwhelm
Those navigating anxiety, hypervigilance, or have difficulty resting
Queer, trans, and gender-expansive folks wanting an affirming, politicized lens on healing
Neurodivergent people who need structure without rigidity, and slowness without pressure
People integrating psychedelic experiences who want grounded, body-based support rather than more big highs
I carry my own lived experience into this work.
That doesn’t mean I’ll know your story, but it does mean we don’t have to spend our time justifying why your experience makes sense.
Every nervous system is different, so I don’t make promises, but people often describe:
Feeling a little more room inside instead of being fused with anxiety or shutdown
A stronger sense of connection to their body, in a way that feels safer and less overwhelming
Less self-blame around burnout, and more compassion for their limits and needs
Clearer signals around what is a “yes” and what is a “no”
A growing sense of an inner place they can return to when things get hard
Healing isn’t linear. Some weeks feel spacious; others feel crunchy.
My goal is to support your system in finding more choice, safety, and self-trust over time.
Standard session rates: $120 / 3 for $340 / 6 for $650
A limited number of sliding scale spots are available for those with financial need
Priority for reduced-rate sessions often goes to trans/queer community, BIPOC, and those with other marginalized identities
If cost is a concern, you’re welcome to mention that when you reach out.
I can’t always say yes to a lower rate, but I value honest conversations about access and will be transparent about what’s possible.
If you’re curious about working together, the easiest first step is a brief conversation.
You can:
Book a free 20-minute consult to feel into whether this work (and our fit) feels right for you.
Or email me with a few lines about what you’re moving through, and I’ll share options.
You don’t have to have the perfect words, the perfect story, or the perfect level of “ready.”
You just have to be willing to notice that something in you wants care, and let that be enough to start.
